Thalis & Leafsong Rework | The Eternal Bond Returns

Ibya Forest is a dangerous place for everyone.

After countless battles, Thalis and his loyal companion Leafsong have finally received the rework they deserved. This fight has been rebuilt from the ground up to create a more unique boss encounter that fits the world of Void Tales.

Thalis is no longer just a poison spitting warrior. Together with Leafsong, he fights as a true duo, one is protecting the other, sharing the battlefield and bringing a completely different feeling to the encounter.

New Boss Mechanics

Thalis and Leafsong now feature a completely redesigned moveset:

• Thalis can throw his spear across the battlefield, using it as both a weapon and a way to reposition himself. • He can leap from Leafsong, attack from above, and return to his companion during the fight. • Leafsong supports Thalis with poisonous attacks, charging through the arena and creating new dangers for the player. • Their attacks are connected and designed around their bond, making them feel like one true enemy instead of two separate mobs.

The goal was to create a fight where you have to pay attention to both of them at the same time.

Of course, no boss is ever truly finished without testing. This is where you come in. The fight has been heavily reworked, but your feedback, ideas and reports will help us polish Thalis & Leafsong even further.

A Hidden Secret

There is also something waiting for those who look a little closer.

A secret reward has been added to the encounter. Defeat Thalis & Leafsong and you might discover the secret behind the mask.

The Beginning of Boss Music

Thalis & Leafsong are also special for another reason.

Their fight was the starting point for a new direction: The boss music will no longer just play in the area as soon as you enter it the whole time, now it is fitting to the entrance of the boss.

Because of them, other bosses like Matilda and Nimue are now also receiving their own unique boss theme moments.

Please make sure you are using the latest version of the Void Tales Modpack.

The newest version contains the required models, sounds, animations and other changes needed for the full experience.
