Stat System Update + Item Overhaul

A major rework has been made to the stat system.

All stats have been adjusted and now feel more meaningful in combat for everyone. On top of that, every player now has a small baseline chance (~2%) to trigger effects like Crits, Lifesteal, or Parries even without items. This means builds are no longer strictly gated by specific gemstones.

For example, Crit Damage gems now have real value even if you are not stacking Crit Chance.

New Stat Library

A new interactive book has been added in the library corner. It allows you to review all stats and what they do at any time in-game.

Instead of listing everything in detail, here’s a quick overview of the system:

Tempo: Controls attack consistency and timing efficiency Crit Chance / Crit Damage: Chance to crit and how strong crits are Damage Reduction: Flat mitigation of incoming damage Dodge Chance: Chance to completely avoid damage Health: Maximum HP scaling Recovery: Passive healing over time Lifesteal Chance / Power: Chance to heal on hit and amount healed Parry Chance / Power / Counter: Block attacks, reduce damage, and reflect damage back

New Tooltip System

Items now use a redesigned tooltip system.

It is cleaner, easier to read, and better aligned with the new stat structure. Over the next days, all items will be updated to match this new format.

You can see:

  • Actual Tier
  • Base Stats
  • Abilities, this time with a unique name
  • Empty/Filled Gemstone Slots
  • Weapon Type
  • Main/Off-Hand
  • The origin of the item as before, but this time the color of the name will state it

Gemstone System Rework

From now on, every weapon and armor piece will only have one gemstone slot, but it accepts all gemstone types.

Even better: introducing Moltanicas.

Moltanicas work like gemstones, but instead of being consumed, they upgrade the item directly when socketed.

This solves the old issue of losing gemstones during item updates and turns upgrades into a permanent progression system.

Item Progression

Every item will now have 3 upgrade stages:

Base Tier 1 Tier 2 Tier 3

Each stage improves stats, and some items may unlock an additional slot at their final form.

Weapon Update Note

Witherwood will fully replace the Oak Sword.

Later on, Loyalty will consume Witherwood, shaping the future of mainhand progression.

This reduces item redundancy but keeps build variety meaningful through progression paths.

This system is not fully implemented yet, but the design is finalized.

Final Note

We’ve finally found an artist who designed our new logo, including a full banner set and additional visual branding assets. This is a long-awaited step toward a more polished and recognizable identity for the project.

I have this weird feeling that this announcement is doing no justice to how the upgrade and stat and item system will feel : )

We´ll see, love you all!
